Whether you want to go on a yoga holiday or study yoga more sincerely, in India, Goa and Rishikesh are the popular places to do so. We offer Yoga Retreats both in Goa and Rishikesh. Our programs include one and two-week Yoga Retreats. Daily pranayama (breathing), meditation, kriyas (nostril cleansing techniques), asana (posture) practice, restorative flow and Yoga Nidra are all part of yoga holidays. During the course, you will get to understand the yogic way of life. It will help you transform your life into something more meaningful. During the yoga retreat, you will be served three vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) a day excluding Sundays. Our chefs prepare sattvic food every day with fresh ingredients. We do not compromise with the quality of the food as it is an essential part of the yoga retreat.

Lydia

Lydia started with an interest in diet and holistic living. She traveled to India in 2012 to study Ayurveda and the traditional Indian methods of disease prevention. Becoming fascinated with this approach she has been living here ever since, learning about Ayurveda, Yoga and how the two are interwoven. She became a certified teacher of Ashtanga Vinyasa with the yoga alliance in 2014, and then went on to deepen her studies in Mysore, where she returns for ongoing study. As part of her training, she was introduced to Sanskrit, and to philosophy related to yoga. She found these areas particularly interesting and uses these subjects to bring background knowledge to the physical aspects of yoga. Lydia uses a combination of her ayurvedic and yogic understanding of mind-body connection, to help people use the physical practice to work on the psychological level of the self. She believes through deeper understanding and observation of the physical self, we can start to observe our patterns tendencies and learn to stabilize the mind.

After engineering study and brief association with companies, I started to travel across the country with the objective to experience or many times unconscious of why I was moving. Nature and varying landscapes were enough to make me feel contentment. I had interests in modern western philosophy and the practice of the ways of Buddha, In one of my travels, on a full moon night, I sat on the hills of Tiruvannamalai and lost track of the passage of time until the break of dawn the next morning. I decided to take up writing and started to work on a book. In the process, I was drawn mainly to The Vedas, Upanishads, and many ancient scriptures along, with the teachings of Ramana Maharishi and encounters with simple men and women with remarkable experiences and staying close, in as much harmony as possible, with Nature provided the source.
